Take My Yoke…. (Part 2 of 3) Matthew 11: 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you shall find rest for your souls. (NASB) While we are resting in Christ as is told us in the previous verse, we need to learn from Him through His Word. God’s Word is much more than merely substantial. His Word is much more than we can imagine. I know when I face hardships and trials and tribulations of any kind I often return to the more familiar verses like the 23 rd Psalm. I know He guides me, but when I experience that Psalm again and again I see more clearly the love that God reflects through this great Psalm of David. Sometimes I can hardly make it through the first part of the first verse, “The Lord is my Shepherd”. Through each trial and hardship He allows before us, He is still the mighty, loving and compassionate Shepherd, and He is more than willing to guide us all the way through the end of our jo...

Come Unto Me (Part 1 of 3) Matthew 11: 28 Come to me all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. (NASB) What happens when you are facing trials and tribulations and times become unbearable? Where do you turn, and what can you do? You may be facing unemployment, family troubles, marriage issues, health problems, or maybe even experiencing the loss of a loved one. In any of these situations, God is ready to help and guide you through whatever it may be that you are facing. He is still there. You may be weary of carrying any of these burdens on your own but God has other plans for your journey through this particular trial. Looking at today’s verse we see Christ speaking and telling us to come to Him. You may have been carrying this burden for a very long time. You actually feel weighed down by all that this burden entails. You are heavy-laden and God wants to give you rest through His Son Jesus Christ....

God Delivers Psalms 34: 4 I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. (NKJV) Good Day Men, When we call upon God, oftentimes we wonder if He hears us. If you have accepted Christ as your Savior, I assure you, God is listening. Not only is He listening, He is at work building His answer for you. Sometimes in our lives we call to God out of fear of the things that surround us. But David assures us that God heard him when he cried out and He will hear us as well. Not only does God hear us, but God delivers us from all our fears just like He did with David. Sometimes knowing that God is at work in our lives assures us of His presence and desire to deliver us. Key Thought: Look to God in trust and wait for His answer. He will deliver and He will bless you with Himself all along the way. We need to watch and wait. God is faithful! Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus. Help me to seek ...

Be Radiant Psalms 34: 5 Those who look to Him are radiant with joy; their faces will never be ashamed. (HCSB) Good Day Men, David experienced what it was like to look to God. From David’s relationship with God radiance resulted in the life of David we see here. David reflected the love of God in his life for the most part. David found peace and strength in knowing God and this was reflected in his life. We should look for ways to reflect God to all those we encounter each and every day. The reflection of this holy radiance would give anybody great joy. In this, our faces will never reflect shame. Key Thought: Looking to God will allow us to be in position to reflect Him to others that others may see Jesus in us. Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus. Help me to look to You in all things that I may reflect You to others throughout each and every day in all that I say and do. In Jesus name, AMEN! Have a GREAT day...

Be Men of God…. 1 Corinthians 16: 13-14 Be on your guard ; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love. (NIV) Good Day Men, As men we need to be on guard for all the things that Satan will throw at us as believers. Satan is powerful and his desire is to hurt us. John 10:10 states this clearly. We need to be spiritually guarded at all times. This takes effort through spending time in the Bible and spending time in prayer. The Word of God provides wisdom and knowledge to remain standing in a continually guarded state. Philippians 4:6-7 gives us guidance for the guarded state of life need to remain strong in Christ. Key Thought: A continual guarded state of life can only be accomplished through a close walk with Christ. Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus Help me to guard my life with Your Word, building holy wisdom in love, grace and strength In Jesus name, AMEN! Have a GREAT day! In Christ...

Good News Brief For Men Be Men of God…. 1 Corinthians 16: 13-14 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith ; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love. (NIV) Good Day Men, Over the many years since I accepted Christ, I have met many people who profess Christ as their Savior and Lord. But their conversation about their belief would always reveal the strength of their faith. Those whose faith has been proven by the many trials and tribulations through which they have been drawn expressed a much deeper and firm faith, while those who seemed to run from their trials were left with a faith that was easily challenged and denied. Some believers get so caught up in the emotion of their belief that they never seek the depth of all God has for them. The Holy Spirit is penetrating, and He pierces our hearts with desire to seek and to know Him more, taking us to a deeper love for God drawing us to step up to fulfill His purpose for our lives....
