Be Men of God….

1 Corinthians 16: 13-14 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love. (NIV)

Good Day Men,
Over the many years since I accepted Christ, I have met many people who profess Christ as their Savior and Lord.  But their conversation about their belief would always reveal the strength of their faith.  Those whose faith has been proven by the many trials and tribulations through which they have been drawn expressed a much deeper and firm faith, while those who seemed to run from their trials were left with a faith that was easily challenged and denied. 
Some believers get so caught up in the emotion of their belief that they never seek the depth of all God has for them.  The Holy Spirit is penetrating, and He pierces our hearts with desire to seek and to know Him more, taking us to a deeper love for God drawing us to step up to fulfill His purpose for our lives.  God creates in us a hunger for Himself.  Nothing else can satisfy that hunger in our lives and hearts but Him and only through the Holy Spirit can this be done.
Seek God in satisfying the hunger He places in your heart.  Only He can satisfy.

Key Thought: Let God build His faith in your life.  With God as the builder, you will stand firm in the faith.

Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus Show me the weakness in my faith that I may come to You for the needed strength to stand firm in the faith.  In Jesus name, AMEN!

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Some conferences were held in open stadiums and others held in enclosed arenas. One was even held at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
