Storms of Life

Proverbs 10:25 When the storm has swept by, the wicked are gone, but the righteous stand firm forever. (NIV) When the storms of life are over us, we are to lean on Christ, the righteous one. Not only is this necessary, but He expects us to lean on Him during trying times. Sometimes we forget that when the storms of life begin, our shelter is Him. We could just depend on ourselves to get through, but from the Scriptural point of view this would be a dismal failure falling way short of what God wants to do through us. God desires to guide us through and sees us into the clear. God wants us to experience His peace through all situations in life, both good and challenging. He shows us His great love and grace during these challenging moments in life. Lean on Him. He truly is our strong and mighty fortress. His powerful love and grace will see us through all the situations that will arise today as well as tomorrow. Key Thought: Trust in the Holy One. He will see us through. The Sa...

Blessed Be The Lord

Psalm 68:19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation! Selah. (NKJV) Our Lord is so loving and so giving. We take to Him our daily cares and concerns, and He blesses us in ways that we cannot comprehend. His love is so great toward us that if we were to receive all that He has for us in a single moment, the glory of His giving would be so great it would consume us. But He knows our desires to serve Him, and we go before Him in prayer asking and waiting and He blesses us in His grace and peace. We ask Him to show us the way in times of need and He provides. We ask Him to bless us with His love and wisdom, and He fills our cup till it overflows. Yes, Blessed be the Lord . Prepare your heart to receive what He plans for you today. Key Thought: Always be ready to provide your cup so that God can fill it to overflowing. Our God wants to meet our needs. He loves us so! Prayer: Thank You Oh Father in Heaven. You know my need...

There Is Order In The Presence Of Christ

Luke 8:22-25 22 Now on one of those days Jesus and His disciples got into a boat, and He said to them, "Let us go over to the other side of the lake." So, they launched out. 23 But as they were sailing along, He fell asleep; and a fierce gale of wind descended on the lake, and they began to be swamped and to be in danger. 24 They came to Jesus and woke Him up, saying, "Master, Master, we are perishing!" And He got up and rebuked the wind and the surging waves, and they stopped, and it became calm. 25 And He said to them, "Where is your faith?" They were fearful and amazed, saying to one another, "Who then is this, that He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him?" (NASB) During this time in the life of Jesus’ disciples, they were still learning about their Lord. They were in awe of the fact that there was such complete order about Him. They experienced Christ personally just as we are to experience Him today. If there are ar...

Giving an Account

Romans 14:12 So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God. (NIV) When being accountable to your employer for the work you do sometimes you may not reveal the negative aspects but only the positive. Do not be alarmed. You are only human. We all want to be seen in a more positive light, by our employers, our mates, and our family members as well as our friends around us.  When you think of something negative that you have allowed to happen in your life and you try not to mention it or worse yet cover it up, then I have a suggestion. Ask God to reveal to you what caused the negative action or reaction in your life and how to keep it from occurring again. God wants us to grow in Him and in everyday experiences we go through. We will one-day give an account of our lives to God and we all would like to hear “Well done my good and faithful servant.” (Matt 25:21) Well, sometimes we slip, but God knows our hearts and He knows what governs our motives. Let’s be honest with God...
