The Seven Promises of a Promise Keeper

Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Some conferences were held in open stadiums and others held in enclosed arenas. One was even held at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina. Before we get into the individual promises, I have listed the seven promises below to give you an idea of the direction we will be following. I am currently working on a biography covering the years I was able to attend the conferences. Several years we were able to attend more than one conference and sometimes three. At the time the individual admission was $72.00 per person. Most of the men were from young families and the admission price was hard to come by, plus we had to add the cost for an overnight stay which var...

My First Event (1994)

Promise Keepers 1993-2024 In 1993 I heard about “Promise Keepers” through Dr. James Dobson’s radio program Focus on the Family . The first large conference was held in Colorado in 1993 at the University of Colorado football stadium. I later learned more about the organization through other radio broadcasts from various stations around my area. The more I heard the more I wanted to attend. The stadium event in 1993 was the “kickoff” for Promise Keepers”. The more I heard about them the more I wanted to att...

Good News Brief For Men Greetings Men! It’s been a while. I just want to invite you to return to our devotionals for men. I am starting a series of devotionals for men focused on the “Seven Promises of a Promise Keeper”. This book is still available on Christianbook.com in paperback. This is the latest revised version and I highly recommend that you get this. I get nothing for sponsoring this website. I just know that my life was changed through the study over a period of several weeks. I will be using the first book prior to this revision. Same material, and the revision is somewhat expanded. I invite you to look into these devotionals at goodnewsbriefformen.blogspot.com as we move forward. You don’t have to have this book, (“Seven Promises of a Promise Keeper”) but it would be helpful and encouraging as we move forward. As the director of Men’s Ministries serving at several churches over the years, I have personally witnessed changed lives as we work through the book dur...
