Storms of Life

Proverbs 10:25 When the storm has swept by, the wicked are gone, but the righteous stand firm forever. (NIV)

When the storms of life are over us, we are to lean on Christ, the righteous one. Not only is this necessary, but He expects us to lean on Him during trying times. Sometimes we forget that when the storms of life begin, our shelter is Him. We could just depend on ourselves to get through, but from the Scriptural point of view this would be a dismal failure falling way short of what God wants to do through us. God desires to guide us through and sees us into the clear.

God wants us to experience His peace through all situations in life, both good and challenging. He shows us His great love and grace during these challenging moments in life. Lean on Him. He truly is our strong and mighty fortress. His powerful love and grace will see us through all the situations that will arise today as well as tomorrow.

Key Thought: Trust in the Holy One. He will see us through.

The Savior is waiting for us to call upon Him. He shows us His great love through responding to our calls to Him.

Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, help me to be more aware of the obstacles in my day that I may draw near to You and seek Your desired end result, not mine. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!!!

Eye Has Not Seen 1 Corinthians 2:9 “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (NKJV) What would happen if you stopped and took notice of the things God has prepared for you in the past as well as the future? We are not a complicated creation to Him, but we are very complicated to us. He created us and the plans He has for us are geared to our character which He created. Let’s face it folks, we are the ones who mess things up. Let’s stop, sit down with the Word of God, and thank Him first, then open that conversation with Him. He waits for that interchange. Our Willing Savior

Our Willing Savior Matthew 8:2-3   A man with leprosy came and knelt before Him and said, “Lord if you are willing, you can make me clean.”  Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man ,  “I am willing,”   He said. “Be clean!”    Immediately he was cured of leprosy.  (NIV) This remarkable story of healing is powerful. But I would like for us to focus on the phrase stated by Jesus: “ I am willing,”   These few words are often overlooked on their own as a statement in themselves, but they speak volumes of what Jesus desires to do for us.  He is willing . He does not negotiate terms, He simply loves and guides us daily when in our hearts, we truly want more and more of Him.  Key Thought: He is willing to always give more of Himself to us than we can ever imagine. Today, let us start with this request. “Lord if you are willing” …… Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, Give me Your peace, in Your time, that I may share...
