Giving an Account

Romans 14:12 So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God. (NIV)

When being accountable to your employer for the work you do sometimes you may not reveal the negative aspects but only the positive. Do not be alarmed. You are only human. We all want to be seen in a more positive light, by our employers, our mates, and our family members as well as our friends around us.
When you think of something negative that you have allowed to happen in your life and you try not to mention it or worse yet cover it up, then I have a suggestion. Ask God to reveal to you what caused the negative action or reaction in your life and how to keep it from occurring again. God wants us to grow in Him and in everyday experiences we go through. We will one-day give an account of our lives to God and we all would like to hear “Well done my good and faithful servant.” (Matt 25:21) Well, sometimes we slip, but God knows our hearts and He knows what governs our motives. Let’s be honest with God. Confession is still good for the soul. Begin with God.
Key Thought: We truly want to give a good account of our lives while here on earth. God knows our hearts and wants to guide us in a closer relationship with Him.
Allow God to build a new you. Give Him your life and let Him begin anew.
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, You know my heart and You know my motives in life. Where my motives do not align with Your direction for my life, guide me into altering my path where I can be more attentive in following You more closely. I truly want to hear “Well done my good and faithful servant.” Align my heart to reflect You, not me. I Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!!!
Have a great day!!!
