I am back FINALLY!
I apologize for the long delay between this and my last post. The work schedule has been incredibly hectic to say the least. I have been thinking about this blog quite often but just haven't had the time do to my current work load.
I have been thinking about our journey and wanted to let you know that this way to communicate with you folks is always on my heart.
So here we GO........
I have been going through my personal library at my home and am beginning to "downsize" a bit. I have too many books that I have either read or simply have no use for any longer. But going through each of these books I am re-discovering some real jewels of reading material I am anxious to return to. Others are just taking up much needed space in my Study. My favorites are Biographies. Right along side of books on Spiritual Prayer, by Charles Spurgeon, Andrew Murray, D.L. Moody and the like. I do have a few more contemporary writers that I enjoy as well, like Dr. David Jeremiah, Dr. Charles Stanley, Dr. Chuck Swindoll and others to name a few. I always glean much from the more antiquated writers and their works than one would expect. In their styles one must proceed slowly to obtain a great sense of their focus and the deeper message the are trying to convey. But God has a purpose in these great works. Even speaking to us as Men of God on occasion and not only the larger combined masses.
As God speaks to us through the history and struggles of Saints who have gone before, we need to understand their sense of growth in Christ along their journey, otherwise their writings would be pointless, and that is not how God would want us to view His warriors of old. They, as we do today have great desire to seek God on the level that would honor God in all we say and do. So in order to honor God purposefully with each and every fiber of our life we need to see beyond the immediate and look to the future along the way. In doing this we give God something to work with so He can mature us into his man and working useful tool.
Not to leave out God's Word in this, remember that God speaks through those He commissioned to build His Word as well, so give Him time and opportunity there as well.
I will post again as time permits do to my current work schedule.
Take care and God Bless. Have a great week!
