Our Willing Savior

Matthew 8:2-3 A man with leprosy came and knelt before Him and said, “Lord if you are willing, you can make me clean.”  Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man, “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!”  Immediately he was cured of leprosy.  (NIV)

This remarkable story of healing is powerful. But I would like for us to focus on the phrase stated by Jesus: “I am willing,” These few words are often overlooked on their own as a statement in themselves, but they speak volumes of what Jesus desires to do for us. He is willing. He does not negotiate terms, He simply loves and guides us daily when in our hearts, we truly want more and more of Him. 

Key Thought: He is willing to always give more of Himself to us than we can ever imagine. Today, let us start with this request. “Lord if you are willing” ……

Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, Give me Your peace, in Your time, that I may share more of Your love and grace with those who do not know You. Guide me through Your Word that I may more clearly understand: “I am willing,” In Jesus’ name I pray! AMEN!!!

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
