On this Journey ........

The next 3 days we will be in Psalms 37.  There are verses I have been led to by God.  He has directed me in many ways through His Word.  In times of great trials and tribulations, in times of great joy and celebration, and in times He was silent, I have learned I can trust the One who died for me.  His name is Jesus.  He has guided me through the effects of Stroke, Heart Disease, and has saved me from the Cancer that left me with a two percent chance of survival.  He has walked with me through the marriage of my Children and the birth of two Grandchildren,  He has walked with me through the Gates of the Airport to again say good-bye to my daughter and now Husband as they headed out to the Mission Field half way around the world.  Yes He has guided me and walked with me through some difficult journeys and some wonderful times, a life in Him I am incredibly thankful for.

In the past I have learned to trust in Him as my Father and King!

Psalm 37: 3, Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and live securely. (HCSB)

Trusting in God to guide you in life is a step by step journey.  You learn by experience and you gain that by learning you can trust the One who died for you.  He is Faithful and He will fulfill His promises.  In this journey through trusting God you will learn to dwell in the land and live securely.  He is still in control and always will be.  More on that over time.....

Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, guide us as we seek Your direction in learning through experience how to trust You more and live in the land securely.  In Jesus' name, Amen!

Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
