“The Launch” 2015

In the past several months I have been developing a new devotional series.  I hope you find it useful in your daily lives.  My desire is to build spiritual “Muscle” into our daily lives.  Often times we read “gender neutral” devotionals and yes they do have their impact, however we as Men of God need more focused readings that strengthen our daily walk in Christ.  I will be writing these from the previously developed outlines I have created over the last several months of my study geared just for men.  These are not developed from other devotional readings I have read over the years.  They have come from my personal study in the Word of God.

Today we begin with “The Launch”.  This term can go in several directions and we will develop them all along the way.  This is a specific series guiding us into a closer walk with God. In Genesis 5: 22-24 we see where Enoch “walked with God”, and in verse 24 we see where God took him up.  They had an incredible relationship.  Enoch was human, and God was God, and they had the ultimate relationship.  We as men of God need to launch out into this opportunity of relationship and seek God on His terms not ours and He will honor that as we will see in our daily walk with Him.

Join me as we begin this “Launch”.

Prayer: Dear God, please lead us as your men into the relationship you would honor.  A relationship that will benefit our families, friends, relatives and co-workers as well as even our acquaintances we encounter daily.  Guide as well into the workplace that we may consistently live that life that reflects you on a daily basis.  I ask these things in Jesus’ name, AMEN!

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
