God Has You In Mind (Part 1)

Joshua 1: 6 Be strong and of good courage,…..

Good Day Men!

Over the years of knowing Christ as my Savior and looking to Him in all things, I have come to a better understanding of how close He wants us to follow Him throughout our lives.  Realizing this did not come easy, but my recognition of God’s presence during the difficult times grew me into a more solid believer in Christ.  More often than not we seem to move along without any real purpose and then all of a sudden something catastrophic occurs and we almost feel abandoned by God because we simply cannot sense His presence in this most recent life changing event.  Trust me, He is there.

Today’s verse tells us to be strong and of good courage.  Even though this is only the beginning of this verse, we can see that God had already laid out what Joshua was going to be directed to do.  God’s direction involves great detail in every situation.  So much so, that this part of the verse is repeated several times throughout the first chapter of Joshua.  As you read this chapter, and I challenge you to do so, remember God has plans for your life as well.  Those plans involve direction from God in order to accomplish for God what He has planned for us.  The relationship with Him is necessary to get on board and fully benefit from His desires for your life.  I know, some will say “I really don’t have time for that”, or “my schedule is too busy right now”.  If this is your thought, then you need to really take some time and look at your life and sit down and make a list of who is really driving your excessive work load.  The old saying goes: “If Satan can’t get you, then he will get you busy.”  Sometimes we need to stop and take stock in our lives and where we are according to God’s plan for the fulfilling of our lives with himself.  Not only will you benefit from a deeper more meaningful relationship with God but all you come in contact with you will benefit as well including your family, friends and co-workers.

Key Thought: Remember, God has a plan.  Don’t waste time spinning your wheels and making no progress.  God is ready, willing, and able to guide you in organizing your life to reflect Him at every opportunity.  He loves and cares for you deeply.  Give Him the chance to show you beginning today….

Prayer: Dear Father in Heaven, Help me to not only slow down, but to stop and see where you are in my life right now. Help me to become more observant of your direction for me and those whose lives you will be touching through me. I want to become a useful tool in your mighty hand.   In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!

Have a blessed day!

In Christ,
