The High Cost of Giving in ……..to Temptation (Part 4)

John 10: 10the thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly.”

Good Day Men!

Today we will conclude with “the thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroyI have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly.”
As much as Satan hates us as believers, the result in seeking Christ instead is seen in this last part of the verse, especially in the words “life” and “abundantly”.  Our life in Christ and our relationship with Him as well as an active and vibrant fellowship will equal a life with purpose and full of the great joy which comes in serving Him.

There is nothing in serving Christ that can ever be boring.  Sometimes it feels like God is just still and quiet in our lives especially when we are expecting and waiting for Him to do something in answer to our prayers.  In reality we need to be thankful for those quiet times when we can finally exhale because we may have been holding our breath thinking that God is going to move right now according to our needs and prayer requests to Him.

I advise you to step back and enjoy the mini-vacation God has given you, for in those times we are waiting, God is at work putting things in place behind the scenes in a blessing He is preparing for you of even someone you have prayed for.

The abundant life is evident in those who wait patiently for God to answer and move in their lives in a powerful way.  Through the reading of the scriptures, times in prayer, time quietly meditating, He is at work loving you and showing you what that love looks like.

The abundant life is well worth watching and waiting for as Christ continues to transform your life by the renewing of your mind in Him.

Key Thought: Turn away from the life that seems easy coming from Satan.  Life is not easy, it’s difficult at best but always challenging us in great and wonderful ways as we seek God’s presence and joy in our lives.  The result, ABUNDANT LIFE!

Prayer: Dear heavenly Father, Help me to be aware of the temptations before me and help me understand that I ALWAYS have a choice to either abandon your call in my life and be miserable or I can respond to your call in my life and experience You in the greatest abundance I will ever experience.  Help me make the right decisions,  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!

Have a blessed day!

In Christ,
