His Grace is Sufficient
2 Corinthians 12:9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” (NKJV)
We know that Paul pleaded with the Lord three times to remove his thorn in the flesh, but the Lord did not remove it. Even when we have trials and tribulations, the Lord will be with us. We must trust Him to see us through, and He will be with us on the hard journeys we encounter.
Some of us are truly experiencing difficulties. It can be physical, emotional, or another ailment. We cannot let things like this hinder our testimony as we try to reach others in Christ. God is continually forming us into His servant as we submit to His purposes and direction in our lives.
Sometimes we do not understand what God is doing through the problems in life we experience. We need to look to God for the grace needed and that He so over-abundantly supplies when the need arises.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
We need to re-access our focus and make sure that God is at the center of our lives when we encounter something that we sense God drawing us into. We don’t need to be “on guard” when it comes to God. We need to be “on call”. We need to be prepared through prayer, the reading and the hearing and the teaching of God’s Word. We will know better how to recognize when God calls us into service.
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, Help me to always be ready and willing and able to answer your call in my life. Help me to be prepared by praying and through the study and the learning of Your Holy Word and its application for me in my life. Make me a useful tool in your hands. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
Application for the day: Try Him, Trust Him and see that He is faithful.
Have a Blessed Day!!!
In Christ,
Ted Wilkins
