Wisdom From Above (Part 4 of 6)

James 3: 16  For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.  (NASB)

Evil cannot co-exist with holiness.  God refuses to share his creation with evil.  It is our choice that we allow Satan to interact with our lives.  We, through our free will have the ability to say no to Satan and yes to God as well as no to God and yes to Satan.  The choice is easy but Satan is wicked and manipulative when it comes to His influencing our lives.  We are often swayed with the expression, “It's not hurting anyone but me”.  This is Satan’s great lie.  The truth is if it hurts me it will truly hurt those around me by impacting my personal testimony in a negative way.  And believe it or not, others, especially those who are close to us will see a (negative) difference in our lives.  Don’t let Satan have his way here.

Prayer:  Dear Jesus, help me to be sensitive to your calling me to holiness in you.  The closer I am to you the less likely I will be giving in to Satan’s evil offerings.  In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

Your servant in Christ,
