But Grow

2 Peter 3:18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (NKJV)

As we participate in various Bible Studies around the church along with various small group gatherings, we need to always be on the lookout to what God is saying to us. He can do this through Bible verses that just pop up in our memory from some familiar time before, through friends in conversation or even through a praise or worship song that comes to mind. Be assured, God is always at work in our lives.

We see God’s grace develop itself through the scriptures mostly and that is why reading the Bible and learning from the Word is so important. We never know when God is going to use us to reach and encourage someone else, we encounter along our journey.

Key Point: Growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, will take effort on our part. He is always ready for you to open His Word and look for His grace and knowledge. Start today. You will reap the rewards!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, touch my heart in powerful ways as I look into Your Word on a regular basis in an effort to grow in Your grace and Your knowledge. In Jesus name I pray, AMEN!!!!

Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
