Our Thought Life

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things. (NKJV)

Paul gave us some very serious guidelines for our thought life. If we do not control our thought life, how can we truly be children of God? Paul is giving us standards to live by. Maintaining this avenue of thought can benefit us greatly. If we control our thoughts and use this verse to guide us, it will produce healthy useful thoughts and that will be reflected in how we live in all areas of our lives. Is this easy? Of course not. Challenging? To be sure!

Our thoughts need to be healthy. They need to be reliable. It takes time and it takes work. There is no time like the present to get this going in the right direction.

Check out this verse today and the surrounding verses as well. Spiritual growth begins in the right soil where the proper sun and light can grow you. God’s Word is the only place to start.

Key Thought: Bring every thought under the light of Christ. Let Him be the judge. Prepare today for your light to shine and illuminate the path for those who come behind you.

Prayer: Dear heavenly Father; give me the thought life that will bring You glory and honor. Thank you for lighting the way. In Jesus name, AMEN!!!!

Have a Blessed Day!!!

In Christ,

Ted Wilkins
