Bread of Life

John 6: 35  Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life.  He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never go thirsty.”  (NIV)

What a promise we have in Christ.  Jesus promises to take care of us when we belong to Him.  As our love grows in Christ we more fully understand his feeding us and providing for our needs.  Our Savior does love us and will not let us go.  It is us who leave Him when we succumb to temptation.  Seek to serve God and let Christ guide you through the Holy Spirit.  My God is able.

Key Thought:  Depend upon Him in all things.

God expects us to seek Him where He may be found.  His Word is just the beginning of this great adventure.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

Psalms 55: 1   Listen to my prayer, O God, do not ignore my plea; hear me and answer me.  My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught.  (NIV) David is going through some tough times here.  He is calling out to God for relief.  He knows God will hear him.   Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Some conferences were held in open stadiums and others held in enclosed arenas. One was even held at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
