Wisdom and Humility

James 3: 1-2 Who is wise and understanding among you?  Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.  (NIV)

Good Day Men,

Wisdom is such a part of the life of the believer.  We seek to know God and we look for mentors to spiritually feed us and provide examples for us as true men of God, and find them in short supply.  But with Christ as our mentor and the focus of our life we can move about in the same way that he did.  He grew as the greatest servant of all time.  He had no personal agenda except to present the Father to others and display His great love toward His greatest creation through many acts of kindness.  Wisdom is a powerful tool in the heart of a committed believer.  Looking to God is where we begin.  Living the life Christ intended for us to live is living life to the fullest in Him. 

Key Thought:  Seek God and His wisdom.  Wisdom is a powerful tool in the heart of the committed believer. 

Wisdom is the ability to use God’s knowledge in the wisdom God intended. 

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Some conferences were held in open stadiums and others held in enclosed arenas. One was even held at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
