Divine Determination

Isaiah 50: 7 Because the sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be dismayed.  Therefore, I have set my face like a stone, determined to do his will.  And I know that I will triumph.   (NLT)

Isaiah had great confidence and trust in God.  We see here the divine determination of a man incredibly sold out to his holy God.  Isaiah’s trust is in Him is complete, even to the point of being awakened by God in the early morning hours as is noted in verse four of this same chapter.  Isaiah has found God reliable and his companionship is sure.  As believers we can experience this same kind of holy and intimate relationship in our lives as well.

I challenge us all to look to God to build this same kind of relationship in our hearts towards him.  In this kind of relationship we can truly experience God to the depths that we have never ventured into before.

Prayer:  Dear Lord, guide me into the depth of your loving kindness that I too may experience the same kind of deep love that you shared with your servant Isaiah.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

Your servant in Christ,
