Light of Life

John 8: 12 Then spake Jesus again unto them saying, “I am the light of the world; he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”  (KJV)

Good Day Men,

We see here that Jesus says that if we follow Him we will have the light of life.  Why, because He is the light of the world. The behavior of light and dark are very different.  When the light in your room goes out, there is darkness.  But even when a candle is lit, the darkness runs.  Exchange that candle for a 100-watt bulb and the room is illuminated.  Go to the sun and the world is illuminated.  Wherever darkness is residing in your heart, the light of life, Jesus Christ himself alone has the power through his presence to chase the darkness totally away.

Key Thought:  Turn on the light of life and let Jesus have dominion over your desires.

The Light of Life is greater than any darkness that may try to invade your life.  Give all your trials and tribulations over to Christ and depend upon Him for He cares for you.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
