Picking Up Speed!

My NEW green Devotional Bible For Men was really a great investment.  My life began to change in a very positive way and how other around me perceived that was encouraging as well.  But I was becoming more encouraged by how I was spiritually changing and my communication with God through prayer was beginning to develop greater focus and deeper purpose.  For the first time I was actually seeing how a personal relationship with God was supposed to look like.  So I put the things that I was learning into action and things that weren't so important to me (because they seemed so unobtainable before) began to become important because I realized God meant wonderful things in His word to become mine as well like a wonderful prayer life, just to start.

Now I began develop a greater vision in watching for Men of God in my own home church.  Some were easy to spot because I began to understand their prayer life.  Others I began to understand because of a lack of prayer in their lives and it showed.  Their life appeared to have such a loss of God in their lives because they did not desire to communicate with Him.  They just appeared to trust God for all things without personal spiritual investment. In order to build Christ into your life, you must make a personal spiritual investment of time and effort.  Some guys say they don't have time for that kind of investment.  Who gave you the time, and who gives you each breath?  'Nuff said......

My wife began to look at me differently and my children as well.  Everything seemed to be making the turn to be a Godly Husband and Father.  The closer I drew to God the deeper my relationship with my family.  You simply cannot have one without the other.  I began to pray in greater detail, pinpointing the needs I knew about.  I began to watch God answer with greater purpose.  I was willing to wait for His answer.  He began to build patience into my life.  But more on PATIENCE later.

The more time I spent with God, the more experienced I became in watching how He moved and how much He cared for me and loved me.

Relationships began to have meaning and purpose.  I began to look for ways God was using others to guide me as well as the blessings I was experiencing in my own life.  Was my life a bed of roses?  Absolutely NOT!

But we were picking up speed......... And NOW!!!!!!
