Gaining Greater Experience
Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek." (NKJV)
Only God has the power to do what He did to give us the
opportunity for salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. Now that is real power,
the power of eternal love.
The Lord wants us to gain in greater experience the power of
His Gospel. The power to change lives is incredible. Changing lives comes through
the Holy Spirit. He works into our thought life and through our reasoning
skills improving us through His great power along the journey. When we read the
Scriptures, we give the Holy Spirit tools to work with. When we get up in the morning,
we need to plug Scriptures into our hearts and minds so God can empower our
lives for the day. He knows what is ahead of us, and we need His presence to be
active and sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Entering the day
whether we are retired or still actively pursuing our careers or even still in
school, we need to be sharp and have the edge God intends. Our being a success
is important to God. What we do on this earth is important to God as well. We
simply cannot afford to let the Scriptures slide for even one day. It may be
just a verse, or even a section or chapter that God is using that particular
day.
We must understand that God is using His Scriptures to
provide a sense of peace in the midst of any storm we may encounter throughout
the day (Mark 4:39). He is also providing knowledge (James 1:5).
The Scriptures are powerful. We may be facing challenges.
Don’t go into these challenges without contemplating what God has planned for
you. He provides peace and direction in making decisions. When we give Him a
usable tool to work with, He sets out to provide us with the components we need
throughout the day. Let’s face it. Life is hard, even more so if we chose to
face it alone and not include God.
God’s
plan for our lives
His desire for us to know Him:
I Timothy 2:1-4
What God did for us:
John 3:15-18 (16)
What we can do to accept Him as our
Savior and have eternal life:
Romans 10:9-10, 13
Commit
your life to Him today. You will never be the same.
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, instill in
my heart a desire to involve You at the beginning of each and every day. Give
me a hunger for Your Word. I ask in Jesus’ name, AMEN!!!
Have a BLESSED Day!!!
In Christ,
