Spiritual Gifts (Part 3)

1 Corinthians 12: 5  And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord.  (NASB)

Good Day Men!

Needless to say our Lord is a great manager.  His work in our lives is organized when we aren’t.  He is prepared to deliver His special gifts, when we aren’t even ready to receive them.  The list could go on and on.  What we need to do is prepare our hearts from the beginning of each and every day and make our hearts available to God for the tasks He has before us.  There are many ministries in which we could get involved, but are we ready?  This takes time for our hearts to get prepared by the reading and practical use of God’s Holy Word as well as time spent in prayer seeking guidance and direction.  If we are to seek His gifts, then we are to first seek Him.

Spend time alone with God and ask him what direction he would have you go in the preparation of your heart to receive his greatest gift for your life.

Prayer:  Dear Jesus.  Show me your way.  Open the eyes of my heart that I may see you more clearly and experience your closeness as never before.   AMEN!

May God richly bless us as we continue seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Some conferences were held in open stadiums and others held in enclosed arenas. One was even held at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
