Spiritual Gifts (Part 9)

1 Corinthians 12: 10  and to another the effecting of miracles,  (NASB)

Good Day Men!

Miracles is such a broad term but unlimited in the power of almighty God.  God chooses those he will bless with this particular gift just as he does all of the others.  When the Apostles were used by God in the effecting of miracles they were not surprised by his power as much as being unaware of how He would do this.  It’s interesting how God works these “HOW’s” into our lives and into the gifts He blesses us with.  The plan of “HOW” is already in place as God orchestrates our lives to receive His gifts.  So we are not so surprised as much as we are complimented and drawn closer to God as He reveals these things in our lives through the Holy Spirit.  The Apostles were completed through the power of the Holy Spirit in their accepting of this gift as God’s intensions in their lives.  It is very similar to the person who rejects God’s gifts in their lives.  They move from God expecting the burden of their rejection of a particular gift to go away or at least become more bearable.  In reality the believer continues to sense the conviction of God through the Holy Spirit who dwells within them.  When they say yes to God their sense of completion is felt the same as the Apostles when they received their gifts. In short, you can’t run and you can’t hide from God.  He will NOT force Himself into your life, but He will draw you to Himself in the calling of your heart to serve Him at a deeper level.  It’s interesting how God uses the Holy Spirit in our lives.  Not only does God know where we are personally and physically, but through the Holy Spirit God knows where we are spiritually, mentally, and emotionally, as well.

God doesn’t take “no” for an answer.  I know many men who have said “no” to God.  When they finally responded with a “yes” a sense of relief was felt.  But those who still run from God, sense spiritual exhaustion and continuous conviction in their life.  When they run long enough they become desensitized to the calling of the Holy Spirit and Satan wins, and a sense of loss fills their lives.

God’s desire is for us to follow Him in all he calls us to do.  The blessings that await us in Christ are beyond our comprehension.

The journey continues……….

Prayer:  Dear Father in Heaven.  Help me to never run from You and Your blessings and call in my life, but instead run to You for the answers and direction.  AMEN!

May God richly bless us as we continue seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

Have a GREAT Day!!!

In Christ,
