God's Mercy in Times of Trouble (Part 5 of 5)

Psalm 34: 17-18 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.  The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.  (NIV)

Good Day Men!

It is a horrible thing to be brokenhearted and crushed in the spirit.  You hurt beyond your very core.  The agony of the crushed spirit is so incredibly deep.  There is nothing to quench the spiritual pain except God himself.  With His nurturing and compassionate heart, only He can restore us to himself with love that only He is capable of producing.  Unbelievers cannot see this for they do not serve the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.  They cannot experience the life ring of hope that only God can rescue them with unless they accept Christ as their personal Savior.  Through the pain and agony of the crushed spirit, God encapsulates us in his loving arms of mercy and lifts us into His spiritual presence to experience His kind of restoration and His great love.  How warm that presence is, and how reassuring is this great comfort. 

I pray that you may never experience this personally.  But please share with others who may be suffering from this great broken heart and crushed spirit, that there is hope.  That hope is found in Jesus Christ.

Trust God in all things.  He is the true way to peace in our hearts.

Prayer:  Dear Father in Heaven, Show me your way.  Light the path that I may see your way more clearly.  Use me as an instrument to reach others with this great news.  There is hope and peace in You. In Christ’s name I pray, Amen!

May God richly bless us as we continue seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
