Good Day Men,

When trouble hits, where do we go?  Sometimes we seek refuge in our homes.  Sometimes we seek refuge in our churches.  However, when we are overcome by the world as David was at times, we see David’s answer.  We should do the same.  We run to God and He protects us from the evil that lies in wait for us.  As believers, we have God as our refuge in the very present time of trouble.  We can go to Him.  Further more, He expects us to come to Him.  In times of trouble, are you in position to resolve every issue yourself?  Of course not.  Now this may be news to some of you, God truly expects us as His children to bring ALL of our issues in life to Him.  Through His Word, you can sort out God’s guidance for every situation that arises in your life.  He will guide you to Himself when you seek Him where He may be found.

Key Thought:  Do not wait for trouble to hit before you seek God’s direction for you.  Begin now and plan ahead for His wisdom to be revealed to you through His Holy Word. 

Others will see your peace and calmness as you go through life in Christ and that will be a testimony to them as to how the peace that passes all understanding can truly be applied to our everyday life.

Prayer:  Dear Heavenly Father, when the waves of life seem to overtake me, when situations consume me because of others, when I have no where to turn, may I always and quickly come to You who will shield me and guide me into Your great purposes for my life. In Jesus name I pray, Amen

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
