Luke 1: 50 And His mercy is upon generation after generation toward those who fear Him. (NASB)
Good Day Men,
God’s mercy and grace are far reaching. This particular verse shows that in Christ,
God’s mercy has the capability of going from one generation to the next. Our testimony through our families is farther
reaching that we can ever imagine. The
key is the word “fear”. This word is
defined in the latest Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary as follows: To have a
reverential awe of God. Understanding
this kind of fear is healthy is the beginning of a great and holy relationship
in God. We aren’t to hear God through
His Word and run away. We are to have
reverential awe of God and this is the intimate relationship He longs for us to
have with Him. Imagine your testimony of
how faithful you were in Christ traveling generations through time to lead
someone to Christ, maybe a great-great grandchild or a distant niece or cousin. To become that kind of testimony we must live
the life Christ has for us. To obtain
this we must stay in His Word and on our knees.
Key Thought: Our life in
Christ is far reaching. We must make the
right decision. Future generations
depend on it.
Studying God’s Word will grow you in ways you may never
see in this world. Our focus is on Him.
May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His
way, through His Word.
Your servant in Christ,
