The Lord Must Build the House (Part 1 of 2)

Psalms 127: 1  Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman keeps awake in vain. (NASB)

Good Day Men,

All of our efforts to build our families into morally right adults are useless, unless we build Christ into their personalities, which must begin at birth.  This verse is quite powerful.  Our efforts are in vain if we exclude Christ in anything.  Our God is a jealous God and He wants to be involved in every facet of our lives including the building of our families and the raising of our children.  He knows that without Him our life truly has neither point nor direction.  But with Him ALL things are possible.  Without Him life is empty.  With Him life is full, complete and has purpose.

Key Thought:  We must trust God to build Himself into our families, as He deems necessary.

Look for areas that will make positive Godly changes in your family and pursue it. 

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
