Whatever You Do….

Good News Brief Weekend

Colossians 3: 17   Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to Him through God the Father.  (NASB)

Good Day Men,

Paul’s command here is quite clear.  I would like to clarify one point however.  Looking at the first part of this verse the word “whatever” means everything.  To reverse the language structure would be to say, do nothing unless it is in the name of Christ.  So everything we do should be passed through the eyes, ears, mind and heart of our Savior.  How can this be done?  By accepting Christ as your personal Savior you have access through the Holy Spirit, which dwells within us as believers.  Our conversation should be such that God is reflected in all we say and do.  This doesn’t mean giving your testimony to everyone on the street.  It just means that we are more considerate of what we say to others and have a more compassionate heart for those we are trying to reach in His name.

Key Thought:  We as believers should look into every opportunity to be used of God to reach others for Christ.

The world is waiting to see what believers will do with the Savior.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

Your servant in Christ,
