Accountability.....

Proverbs 27: 17 Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.  (NASB)

I have studied a lot over the years concerning men’s small groups and the affects of accountability.  Accountability as it applies to the development and molding of our character as godly men can be a powerful tool in the hands of a loving Savior.  We need each other to hold us accountable as we mature in Christ (Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another).  We need to be honest with ourselves and honest with each other.  We need to share with one another what the scriptures mean to our hearts and where we hurt and when we grow.  We don’t do this to expose our weaknesses but to pray for one another as Christ prayed for His followers in the waning hours of His ministry prior to the Cross.  Christ prayed often and tears fell from His eyes over the love he had for his apostles.  Christ had passion for his apostles.  He wanted what was best for them and He prayed for that end result just as we should pray for the uplifting of those who seek a godly relationship in Christ.  Relationships take time to build with other men.  It doesn’t just happen overnight.

Key Thought Join a men’s group today and begin the adventure of a lifetime.

The rewards are great as you collectively seek God and His will in your life today.  There truly is power and strength in numbers.

Prayer:  Dear Father in Heaven, give me the courage to take a stand and see opportunities that You put before me that I may grow according to Your desires for my heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will and His way through His Word.

Have a GREAT day!!!

In Christ,
