God is Ready to Forgive....

Psalm 86: 5 For Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon thee.  (NASB)

When we sin, regardless of whom we sin against, our wife, children, Pastor, friends; etc. our greatest sin focus is against our holy God.  God wants us to come to Him and seek His face, and accept His forgiveness for what we have done.  As David says For Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive.  I have seen couples in counseling that wanted to forgive but had to work through forgiveness in time, and now have a wonderful relationship with one another.  That doesn’t mean that there are no consequences to the sins we commit.  This couple learned patience and understanding, and they learned how to forgive.  Upon our repentance of sin and turning to God for forgiveness, God forgives and is abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon thee.  There is purpose in God’s complete forgiveness when we go to Him.  Our hearts must be sincere and true, as His forgiveness is complete and full.

Don’t let sin stand in your way of the good fellowship you can have in Christ Jesus through the Holy Spirit that dwell in the hearts of those that know and love Him.

God has the power and love to forgive us.  Take time today to seek His face and confess any outstanding sin that is standing in your way of fellowship with our heavenly Father.

Prayer:  Dear Father in Heaven, Give the ability to forgive as You forgive.  Help me to express Your mercy and grace to others and help me to recognize the time that I too need to come and seek Your face and ask forgiveness.  Help me to be keenly aware of the things around me that may cause me to sin against You that I may turn away and seek your help and grace in time of need.   In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN!

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will and His way, through His Word.

Have a GREAT Day!!
