We take captive...... Every thought.....

II Corinthians 10: 5  We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (NIV)

I have held this verse in my thoughts and heart for many years.  I have clear understanding of what it says.  We must always be aware of what is being said in our conversations, in what we say and what is being said to us.  We must stand by what is true and strong and powerful.  We must also commit our thoughts to Christ for we will be held accountable for our thoughts as well as our actions.  Are our thoughts pure?  Are our thoughts clean?  Christ knows our thoughts and the Holy Spirit is grieved when our thought life runs rampant and undisciplined.  In most cases, this is a territory of ferocious battle every day and every hour.  The battle rages on for our souls and our thought life.  If Christ has your soul then the battlefield is in our thought life.  Can we rein our thought life in?  No!  Nevertheless, God can.  Phil. 4: 13…”I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me.” (KJV)  He has provided us the tools (His Word), and support (prayers of support from others) to overcome these trials and claim victory but our hearts must be willing to experience His wholeness in order to claim His fullness in our lives.  He knows our hearts and souls.  In Christ there is no such saying as “three strikes and you’re out”.  In Christ, we are never out.  He picks us up when we fall and puts us back in the game.  We need to claim His victory in our lives so others may be able to see His fullness in us, especially our immediate families.  What is our answer to Him today?

It is time to step up to the plate.  The VICTORY is ours, but only through Christ.  Is there any other way?

Prayer:  Dear Father in heaven, In the things I think and the things I say be filtered in my heart through the Word of God before I ever say or think anything.  May I become so saturated through Your Word that Your thoughts for me become my thoughts, for only there will true happiness and absolute peace and abundant life become real.  Thank you for Your closeness through the Cross.  In Jesus’ Name I pray, AMEN!

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will and His way, through His Word.

Have a GREAT Day!!

In Christ,
