Personal Strength (Part 3 of 3)
1 Timothy 1:12 I thank Christ Jesus our
Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me
into service, (NASB)

In this letter to Timothy from the apostle Paul, we see Paul
encouraging Timothy to get His strength from the Lord. When we are faithful in Christ, service is
not far behind. Be sure of one thing,
that if you sense God’s call to do anything for Him, be it a testimony to a
stranger, or long time friend, or even a family member, you CANNOT do this in
your own strength. BUT, you can do it
through the strength that God provides through the Holy Spirit that dwells in
us as believers.
It has been amazing to watch God move in the lives of men I know
personally as they grow in faith and learn to rely on the strength of God
through the Holy Spirit. Their growth is
personal and very visible to those who too seek the strength and power of our
most holy God.
Men like Billy Graham, Dwight L. Moody, Charles Spurgen, C.S. Lewis, to
name a few, have left me shaking my head in awe of the spiritual strength they
had through the years of their ministry.
We can obtain the same strength, for we serve the same God.
Ask God for strength,
faithfully believing that He will respond, for He will not turn those away who
truly seek Him.
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, make me aware of Your
available and abundant strength realizing that if I rely on my personal
strength alone, I will surely fail. Help
me to trust You more. In Jesus' name I
pray, AMEN!
May God richly
bless us as we continue to seek His will and His way, through His Word.
Have a GREAT
Day!!
In
Christ,
Rev.
