Come Boldly….

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (KJV)

What a promise this is!  We also receive instruction.  We are told to come boldly.  Where are we to come?  To the throne of grace.  Why?….to obtain mercy.  What will be there waiting for us?…grace and help.  And then the question is when?…. in time of need.  There you have it men.  As often as we look for answers, more often we look for help.  Sometimes our pride keeps us from asking a brother in Christ to pray for us.  Sometimes it’s just plain stubbornness that keeps us silent.  And then there is a holy God waiting to hear from us, eager for our requests.  He knows we will find mercy and forgiveness in Him.  Let’s face it…….We need Him!!!!!  And He wants us.  He doesn’t need us for He already has it all, and all we need is Him.  When you’re in trouble, when you’re alone, when you need help, His grace awaits, and He promises more than enough.  In James 4: 6 it says…But He gives us more grace.  That is why scripture says: God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.  God calls us to repentance as well as providing for all our needs.  He promises us that we can go to Him in everything.  So what’s keeping us back?  Sometimes we need to let go and let God.

Try Him and find Him true!

Prayer:  Dear Father in Heaven, help me to trust You for the answers as I seek Your Word for the necessary guidance from day to day. Show me that I can trust You for the grace in time of need.  In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
