Being a Man.... and Being Significant.... (Part 10)

Psalms 71:20 You have caused me to experience many troubles and misfortunes, but You will revive me again.  You will bring me up again, even from the depths of the earth.   (HCSB)

We mean something to God.  That, we should never doubt.  Even in times of trials and tribulation, His purpose is to reveal Himself to us in all things He allows us (His greatest creation) to go through.  Sometimes His classroom for us can be quite difficult.  It could be the loss of a loved one, or a terminal illness of a loved one or even yourself.  I assure you, God is in it.  His grace will see you through, and His heart will feel your pain and sense your anguish as well.  He knows your struggles on a very personal level.  He knows when you are sad and unhappy.  He also knows when you rejoice.  But it is the times when we are in the fires of purification that we need His closeness as He reveals His purposes in our lives through some tough times.  But we can trust Him as David did.  David wrote, “but You will revive me again.”  You will bring me up again, even from the depths of the earth.  We know that God will raise us up through His involvement in our lives, because David experienced this as well.  Paul, Peter, James and John (to name a few) all experienced this in their own lives, and God lifted them out of their circumstances, from the depths of the earth reviving them again.

It's hard, oh yes.  Sometimes very hard.  But we must experience all that God has for us, for if we faint not, our reward awaits us.  Yes, some trials are very hard, but God is with us….through it all.  And He will revive us again!

Prayer:  Dear Lord Jesus, guide me through all the trials that I am currently going through.  Under gird me and lift me up that I may do all You require.  Set my feet upon the rock that is greater than I.   In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
