God IS Our Salvation

Titus 3: 5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,  (NASB)
 

Good Day Men!

 
What happened when we got saved?  It often pays to revisit the past in this way to obtain a clearer understanding of God’s purpose for our lives since we have begun to grow in Christ.  This reminder of the fact that we did nothing, nor can we do anything to earn our salvation through deeds done in righteousness.  But we have been saved through faith in Jesus Christ.  We have been renewed and regenerated by the Holy Spirit.  I don’t know about you but I for sure like my life much better since I was saved in 1992.  Sure some of the time has been rough going but God is in all the life-changing activities I experience with Him through Bible study, prayer and fellowship with other believers.  His mercy is the key.  We did nothing to earn His favor.  It was His grace and love that has saved me from my sin and eternal hell.  Allow God to restore to you the joy of your salvation as He did when King David asked Him to.  Revisit again the time you said YES to God and NO to this world.  It will again change your life by adding a greater appreciation for what God did through His mighty love for us.
 
Believe me, you will be empowered to charge forward with a whole new outlook for what God has planned for you.
 
May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will and His way through His Word.

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
