The Source Of Our Confidence

Titus 3: 8 This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to engage in good deeds.  These things are good and profitable for men.  (NASB)

Good Day Men!

Have you ever wondered that what you said could have been said with greater conviction?  Everything you say is in direct relationship to where your confidence is based.  At work, your performance is a result of the confidence you have in the profession, trade or field in which you chose to be employed through.  You go to school to learn of that particular profession so you can do a better job once you’re out in the work force.  The only problem is that your training in the field you have chosen is limited to that particular field of expertise.  Often times when you enter the work force you find that school didn’t teach you everything you needed to know.  This is where we find that experience can be a great teacher.  Often times this method of learning can be somewhat intimidating.  There are those who will take advantage of your new job status and choose to embarrass you in front of your peers to “train you right”.  This is very cruel and unfair and can leave one with the feeling that they may have made a mistake in choosing that particular profession.  How sad this is.

God, on the other hand, will use you if you choose to seek His will in ALL things.  God loves us and wants us to experience His fullness in all we say and do.  He can take your profession and couple you with other seasoned committed believers. Ask God to point out other godly men in your company, and He will guide you to them.  There is strength in numbers and godly wisdom can be gained when you hook up with the right persons at work.

Do you want to have confidence in your work?  Ask God to help you.  Do you want to have more confidence in what you say?  Read the Bible daily.  God can and will show himself through your efforts and He will give you confidence you never had once you focus on Him.

Allow God to express Himself through all you say and do.  This doesn’t mean you will become a preacher at work, but the confidence that others will see through you will point to Him.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will and His way through His Word.

Have a great day!!
