Serve God In Truth And Sincerity

Joshua 24: 14 Now therefore, fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and truth; put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.  (NASB)

Good Day Men!

I remember when I accepted Christ as my personal Savior in October 1992 that I knew that there would be changes in my life.  At first it was very frustrating waiting for God to move.  But I waited and I studied His word.  The more I studied the more I learned.  As a result of my newfound desire to seek Him, He answered my prayers.  Many of my friends I had before 1992 I still have today.  You see, I thought I was saved but I never actively made the commitment to accept what Christ did for me on the cross.  So even before I was saved I was active in my church through choir, Sunday School, and various other ministries.  But I didn’t know God.  In 1992 I settled it for good and now I know beyond a shadow of any doubt that I am His and He is mine.  I have experienced God growing me into His man.  I sought God through the verse I used today.  I made a conscience effort to put away all that I had previously learned and applied God to everything I was learning through His Word.  The scriptures began to come to life in my daily studies.  The greatest thing I had to put away was the learning of God’s Word in my own skills and abilities.  I was nothing until God came to life through the study of His Word.  So I actively put away my old methods of self-learning and depended on God to teach me.  He began to reveal the scriptures to me through daily practical application, as I would ask Him to show me how to experience Him more.  He answered my prayer and one of the results you are reading right now.  God gave me a heart to reach men for Christ.

These devotionals are a blessing to me and I gain from the research as God continues to apply Himself to my life daily.  Apply Him to your life today.

…..serve Him in sincerity and truth;  Sincerely seek God’s truth and He WILL reveal himself to you through the daily application of His holy word.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will and His way through His Word.

Have a great day!!
