Guard Your Heart And Guard Your Home

Proverbs 30: 20 This is the way of an adulterous woman: She eats and wipes her mouth, And says, “I have done no wrong.”  (NASB)

Good Day Men!

In the study of this verse; She eats and wipes her mouth references eating food to the act of making love.  To add insult to injury the verse further states; And says, “I have done no wrong.”  This woman is self consumed and her target was another man who was not her husband.  Look at Proverbs 2: 16-19 and see further the results of falling into this trap.  Over the years in Men’s Ministry I’ve heard the reasons for infidelity from men on why they had the affair.  They are a broad range however, they convinced themselves that this was the thing to do, “besides we deserve to be treated better and our needs in the physical part of the relationship need to be met.”   So men, here’s your question before you attempt to reason with yourself why you need another woman to meet your needs other than your wife.  If you think, for a moment you are in pain because your wife is not meeting your needs, then I want you to think about what will happen and how much your wife will hurt as well as the children when they discover you have been unfaithful.  You’ve never experienced a pain like this.  Your wife and your children will be heartbroken beyond compare.  Only God can heal those kinds of deep and bloody wounds.

Talk to your wife.  Go some place you can be alone and TALK.  You will be surprised at how willing she would be if you just asked.  But more than anything else, pray for your wife. Proverbs 5: 18-23 will make you think about your wife.  Ask God to give you the same kind of love that He has for your wife and watch the relationship grow.

Don’t fall men!  It’s harder to get up from this kind of sin and God WILL give His kind of strength and courage to overcome Satan and his crafty evil ways.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will and His way through His word.

Have a great day!!!
