Good Day Men!

In the years past since the time I got saved and even before I have heard many laymen and even a pastor or two say that the Bible is just an optional guideline and that times have changed and we must compensate by adjusting God’s Word to suite the times.  These men’s confidence is NOT in God but in themselves.  These are the men who stand by political correctness and not God’s guidelines set forth in His Word.  The faith of these men is highly questionable.  My faith is in God and His Word I cherish.  I like the word profitable as it is used in today’s text.  It doesn’t say just suitable, it says profitable.  Thus our lives will profit from learning and applying God’s Word daily.  In short we will grow in Christ as we apply God’s Word to our lives on a consistent basis.

Take some time today and read God’s word.  Psalms 34: 8 Taste and see that the Lord is good.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will and His way through His word.

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
