Ask with Faith!!!

James 1: 6-7  But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.  (NKJV)

Good Day Men,

Faith is a powerful tool in the heart of men who understand what faith is.  Faith is defined in Hebrews 11:1.  In this verse we see that faith is the substance or foundation of things hoped for, the evidence (confidence) of things not seen.  In short, we believe in God through our faith in Him.  Our confidence is in Him and Him alone.

In God’s Word, we find many promises from God.  He has never failed in fulfilling those promises.  When God has laid something on our hearts to pray for then we are to wait, in faith, expecting His promised outcome.  Sometimes that outcome is peace in the midst of our own personal storms.  Sometimes it is health issues, ours or someone else’s.  It can even be a financial need.  God is still there and He knows our hearts and needs long before we come to Him.  We need to ask and we need to watch and wait for His answer.  One of the things we need to do as we wait on God, is to busy ourselves in how we are to look for His answer.  God shows us how to listen for Him and His direction for our lives through the reading and studying of His Word, the Bible. It is difficult to understand His answer if we do not study in the way He speaks to us.  The Bible is a great resource for us to study and better understand how He speaks.

I personally carry my favorite translation in New Testament form with Psalms and Proverbs in my back pocket.  It is always nearby.  When I would eat lunch, I would find a place to be alone and read the Bible.  This has always encouraged me.  I now find myself looking for opportunities to read and study the Word of God.  It makes my life powerful and complete.

Key Thought:  Build your faith in Christ as you seek to learn more about God so when you go to Him you can ask in faith.

Our stand is in our confidence and faith as we stand on the promises of God, daily becoming more familiar with how He speaks to us through His Word.

Prayer:  Dear Heavenly Father, May I never be wavering when I come to You asking in faith to supply my needs.  Give me time in my schedule to seek you more and give me a heart that is after YOU!!  In Jesus name I pray, Amen  (Jeremiah 29: 11-13)

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

Have a GREAT Day!!!

In Christ,
