Know What You Believe 

Hebrews 10: 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)  (KJV)

Have you ever been involved in a conversation with someone who just couldn’t make up his or her mind?  This can be very frustrating.  In today’s verse we are told to hold fast the profession of our faith.  Further research into God’s Word clearly states what can happen to those who can’t seem to hold fast.  (Reference James 1: 5-8 and focus on vs. 6-8.)  Wavering in what you believe can be dangerous.  When we study God’s Word we need to allow enough time for God to speak to us through the scriptures.  I recommend that we all keep a daily journal of what we sense God is saying to us through His Word.  It can be a composition book, or a daily organizer.  Whatever it takes to jot down the things God has called your attention to.  Leave nothing out.  Make sure you date your entries and by all means keep a list of prayer requests and write down the dates when the prayers were answered.  This particular technique works for me.

Track your progress and watch how you grow.  You will become a stable point that does not waver as you grow more in the knowledge and wisdom of Christ offered through God’s Word.

Hold fast!

Prayer:  Dear Heavenly Father, Help me to hold fast to my profession of faith, trusting You fully for the outcome in all things that I may honor You.   In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
