Don’t Worry?

Matthew 6: 27  Which of by worrying can add one *cubit to his stature?  (NKJV)

Good Day Men,

Many women will tell you that worry equals wrinkles.  There may be some truth to that.  It takes by far more muscles to frown than it does to smile or laugh.

What do you do more of daily, frown or smile?  When we worry, our facial features change reflecting a hard look.  This is quite the opposite of smiling.  Smiling is open and inviting.  A grin is open and inviting as well.  A frown can communicate a “don’t come near me” attitude.  Home is a great place to practice your facial expressions.  People around you are at ease when you smile and your facial expression is inviting.  When you frown, most times people won’t come near you except when they have to.

A frown can turn away people, but a smile can disarm the frown, even when the frown comes from someone else.  Besides, what does worry have to do with all of this?  Let’s face it; worry over something often will cause depression over an anticipated outcome (that for the most part never happens).  We try to imagine the worst so we can prepare ourselves to handle an anticipated outcome.  Why is there need for preparation?  Isn’t God in control?  He wants you to experience abundant life and let Him handle the situations that occur in your life (John 10:10).  Don’t be robbed of your joy.  Yes, there are worrisome issues that occur in your life, even daily at times.  However, we must trust God to see us through, and trust Him to provide the ways and means to handle all that comes our way.

Key Thought:  God has a plan for our lives and we need to trust Him for the outcome.  His way is always best!

Proverbs 3: 5-6, Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. (KJV)

Prayer:  Dear Heavenly Father, Guide me oh thou great Jehovah and lead me in the path of Your most holy peace. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

Have a GREAT Day!!!

In Christ,
