Seek (Part 3 of 3)
Key Thought: If we look to God and never give up until we have His answer for us, then as we pray to Him, He positions us to receive all the blessings He is willing to bestow upon us.

Matthew 7: 7 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock and
it will be opened to you. (NKJV)
Good Day Men,
Ending this
devotional series, we look at the work “knock”.
Knock: In the use of this word we are knocking on a door to get the
attention of the one inside who can answer the one who is outside.
Typically, when
we approach the home of someone we want to see we knock on the door. We are letting them know that someone is
there and wanting to see them. Sometimes
we even have to knock twice. If they are
home, generally they will answer. In
this verse, Christ is on the inside the door willing and able to respond to our
knock.
Christ wants to
answer, but He also wants us, as believers to understand our need for Him. Christ knows our future, minutes from now as
well as days and years away from now.
Sometimes the
trials and tribulations are “placed” into our lives in order for us as
believers to see and experience our need for the Savior. God is no the author of sin, but we see in
Luke 22: 31 that Satan has asked to sift Peter as wheat. However, in Luke 22: 32 we see Jesus’
response that He had prayed for him that his faith would not fail.
Jesus has the
answers as God supplies. Jesus does not
ask us to please ask, seek and knock. He
tells us to ask, seek, and knock. He
does this in part so that we will understand He has the answer for us and is
ready and willing to provide for our needs through His answer.
Key Thought: If we look to God and never give up until we have His answer for us, then as we pray to Him, He positions us to receive all the blessings He is willing to bestow upon us.
We need
to position ourselves in prayer and wait for His answers, which are perfectly
timed for our needs.
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, Guide me into
those precious moments of time in prayer that I may sense Your great purpose
through every answer. In Jesus’ name I
pray, Amen.
May God richly
bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His way, through His Word.
Have
a GREAT Day!!!
In
Christ,
Rev.
