Fear will….

Matthew 25: 25 And I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the ground; see, you have what is yours.  (NASB)

I have heard many messages on the parable of the talents.  I can’t help but feel sorry for this man.  Fear was so overwhelming that he couldn’t trust the master to be just; therefore he hid the talent in the ground thus receiving a curse for his actions instead of a blessing for what he should have done.  Fear will literally kill our productivity if we allow it to do so.  Many people will never see success in life for they fear what will happen when they succeed.  How foolish but true.  There are others who fear the journey and don’t know how to do what God has put in front of them.  God never calls us to a task without preparing the way ahead of time.  We must stay in communication with God through the reading of His Word and daily prayer that this won’t happen to us.  I know a man who was a Chemical Engineer and was called into the ministry.  He followed God’s call and is now serving at a prominent Church here in North Carolina.  There is another man who felt the same call into the ministry.  I know him well.  His call is more than 14 years old and all he does now is teach a Sunday School class in a local church.  As rewarding as that is, I asked him if teaching this class was God’s call.  He replied that he felt inadequate to become a Pastor and that is why he never made the move to follow God’s call in his life as a Pastor.  How sad!  He still feels the emotional pains from not following God.

Trust in the Master for He has great purpose in our lives.

Prayer:  Dear Lord, help me to trust You more in ALL things as I seek to serve only You for You know what is best for me.  In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

Have a GREAT Day!!!
