Being a Man and....... Being Significant...

1 John 4: 19 We love, because He first loved us.  (NASB)

Understanding ourselves in the light of God’s purpose for us can be an ongoing challenge throughout our life.  Of course every day is different and we should expect it to be that way.  But when we seek God’s purpose for our lives, each day becomes real and new and fresh with each passing moment. 

 In Psalms 63: 1 we see King David rising early in the morning to be refreshed in the presence of God.  In Psalm 90: 14 we see the reflection of God’s love for us as we call out to Him seeking His mercy resulting in the joy He provides in knowing Him and experiencing His presence every day of our lives (all the day long).  By the guidance and command of God, sometimes men would march all night to reach their destination for battle arriving refreshed by the holiness of the situation in which God has called them, as they did in Joshua’s time (Joshua 10: 9).

The freshness of each new day begins with Him…”because He first loved us.”

Don’t wait until tomorrow.  Don’t put Him off another minute.  Bow to God in prayer and seek His presence and His significance for you this day.

Prayer:  Dear Father in Heaven, I call out to you right now.  Show me Your love and grace.  Help me to love others even as You love them.  May I begin this new journey in my understanding of your significance in my life, and my significance through You in this world.  Guide me in Your ways, and keep me on your path.  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

May God richly bless us as we continue seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
