In This Present Age.... (part 2 of 4)

Psalm 37: 11  But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace.  (NIV)

Good Day Men!

Here we have reassurance that peace will finally come and the meek (those who are found in Christ) will indeed inherit the land.  Peace is what all believers seek.  There is peace in knowing Jesus as Lord.  There is peace in knowing our future is secure in Him for eternity.  This can actually allow us to become more courageous in presenting the gospel of Christ to a lost and dying world.  We go farther to explain the truth and spend more time in clarifying what Christ did on the Cross.  As believers, we can be as bold as the unsaved and the wicked in presenting the gospel but never cross the line into the arena of argument or even heated discussion.  This is where Satan resides.  He doesn’t want you to be in control of any conversation with any unbeliever or a fallen believer (one who has wavered in his faith).  Satan wants to damage your testimony and arguing about the gospel is a good place for him to make you defensive.  Does this sound like peace?  Of course not!  But, we can experience His peace while still here on this earth.  It’s the peace that passes all understanding (Phil 4:7).

May I sense your peace, Oh God, that I may more fully represent you to this world.

Prayer:  Dear Lord, Give me courage to take a stand for the cause of Christ but never let me cross over the line where my testimony in you becomes an argument or heated discussion with others.  In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will and His way, through His Word.

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
