Your First Five Minutes..... (Part 3 of 3)

1 Thessalonians 5: 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.  (NKJV)

When bad things happen to good people it leaves us scratching our heads, and asking what did they do to deserve that.  I must, at this time take you to John 9: 1-3;

Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth.  And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”  Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.”

We simply don’t have the answers to many of the things which God orchestrates through our lives, but we do know Romans 8: 28.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

So men, in everything…….give thanks, God is at work in you today and forever.  Begin giving thanks in the first five minutes of your day and watch how your eyes will open to the things God is doing around you.

Prayer:  Dear Lord Jesus, Show me the way to be thankful as you build me into YOUR man of Christ-like character.  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
