Salvation at Home...

Luke 19: 9 “Today salvation has come to this house.”  (HCSB)

This verse is the end result of Jesus’ visit with Zacchaeus the tax collector.  What is the end result of Jesus’ visit at your home?  If you are a believer in Christ, then Jesus visits your home every time you are there.  Has salvation come to your home today?  It is available to all those who come in contact with you because as a believer Jesus resides in you through the Holy Spirit.  And through you, God is able to lead the unsaved to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.  So what is holding you back?  Do you consciously represent Christ in your home in ALL you do?  If this is not happening in your home, ask God to change you that you may be able to more reflect the heart of Christ to others in every step you take and every move you make.  If you are not living as Christ would have you live and you are one person at work and a different person at home then it’s time to talk to God and reconcile these issues to yourself concerning your sense of dedication to Jesus Christ.  Through Christ you can have the courage to represent Christ in ALL you say and do.  This doesn’t mean beating people over the head with a Bible, but it does mean making a conscious effort to represent Christ to others in every step you take.

Accept Christ and all that He has done for you.  His love and grace will be your supply as you take Him to the lost and dying world outside your doorstep as well as inside your home to your loved ones.

Prayer:  Dear Jesus, help me to accept your courage to bring you into my home that my family may see more of you and less of me.  May I represent you to this lost and dying world that others may see Jesus in me in all that I say and do.  In Jesus’ name, Amen!    

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will and His way, through His Word.

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
