A House is Built! (Part 1 of 2)

Proverbs 24: 3 Through wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established.

Here we see a house under construction, this house being the beginning of a family.  Wisdom can only be determined by the Holy Scriptures and the use thereof.  Worldly wisdom is foolishness as is stated in 1 Corinthians 3: 19-20.  But true wisdom is from God. 

I remember when I was “Just Married” several years ago; I had visions of success and family.  My plans looked good, but in God’s eyes they were foolishness.  Years later when I sought God for the correction of my course, I saw my problems and challenges as opportunities for God to step in and show me His grace, guiding me along the way.  I found peace knowing He was in control.  God established Himself as the rock upon which I can fully rely.  Since those early days of being the master of my own destiny I have grown up…..in the Lord and in His divine wisdom through the reading and the studying of His Holy Word.  I have understood that He is still in control and I would have it no other way.  My confidence is in Him and Him alone.  I have found Him totally reliable in areas where I totally failed.

Give your life and your family over to God and let Him guide you.  I know He holds the future and I know who holds my hand, and when I can’t see His hand moving in my life, I trust His heart.  My God is able.


Prayer:  Dear Father in Heaven, Show me the way to commit my family relationships to you, trusting you in all things.  Help me to trust You more than I could ever trust me.  In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!

May God richly bless us as we continue seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

The Seven Promises of a Promise Keeper

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Instructions Of A Father

Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
